Globe: Voices Rising’s enthusiasm infectious

The Boston Globe’s James Reed joined Voices Rising for their inaugural concert, June 27 at Longy School of Music, calling the attendance “impressive” for the newly formed chorus.

“The nearly 30 Boston-area women who comprise the chorus shared the bill with Another Octave, a Connecticut women's chorus, and their enthusiasm was infectious. On ‘Down by the Riverside,’ the women nearly rattled the rafters with a thunderous refrain of ‘I ain't gonna study war no more,’” Mr. Reed wrote in the July 1 edition of the Globe Calendar section.
